Big Feelings, Smart Choices — A Bug’s World of Emotions is an imaginative and engaging workshop that helps children understand and manage their emotions through storytelling, art, movement, and play-based activities — all through the creative lens of a tiny bug-sized world. In this interactive experience, children will explore emotions by stepping into the lives of expressive insect characters — like a frustrated firefly whose light flickers when upset, a worried caterpillar preparing for change, or a brave beetle learning how to solve friendship conflicts. Using creativity and imagination, children will “shrink down” into Bug World, where big feelings feel even bigger — and smart choices help everyone grow. In a supportive and playful environment, kids will learn how to name their feelings, recognize emotional triggers, and develop healthy coping strategies — turning big feelings into smart, thoughtful choices. Through imaginative storytelling, expressive art projects (like designing their own “emotion bug”), and movement-based games (buzzing breaths, butterfly calm-down poses, etc.), participants will explore emotional regulation tools while building self-awareness, empathy, and problem-solving skills.

This class is ideal for children navigating school, friendships, and life transitions who could benefit from practical tools to handle stress, anger, anxiety, or frustration — presented in a way that feels magical, safe, and fun.

Withdrawals/Refunds:

“If you are unable to attend the course session, we are happy to refund tuition, less a 5% processing fee, when you cancel your course session a week before the course starts. The deadline to request a refund is 5:00 pm on the Tuesday prior to the course week. “
