Bricks, Bots & Beakers: Lego EngineeringNorthwood Community EdIn this exciting LEGO class, students will build working models to explore important STEM ideas – learning about simple machines and discovering how forces affect how things move. Students will also measure things like distance, speed, time and weight as they test and improve their creations! Projects include building a dog obstacle course, tightrope walker, sail car, racecar, bobsled, weight lifter and more! In this fun, skill based course, students will learn age-appropriate cooking techniques, enhancing their self-confidence, life skills, critical thinking, and communication abilities through hands-on cooking. Each week features a unique syllabus of savory and sweet recipes. Our instructors are professionally trained classroom educators, chefs, or nutritionists. Ignite your child’s culinary passion with CookLearnGrow! Our after-school program offers hands-on classes for young food enthusiasts and budding chefs, teaching essential techniques through seasonal recipes and NEW RECIPES each session. Students build life skills, gain kitchen confidence, and explore ingredients while reinforcing academics and practicing teamwork in a fun, collaborative setting.
